Civil Process Information

Payment Methods for Service of Civil Process

  1. Cash: Exact Cash-This office does not have a change drawer and cannot make change.
  2. Money Order
  3. Bank Cashier's Check
  4. Personal or Business Checks: No temporary checks-Payer information must be pre-printed on the check.
  5. Credit Card: American Express,Discover, MasterCard, or Visa   NOTE: There is an extra fee for this service.

The fee is collected per signature for each item that is attempted to be delivered or served. Although several individuals may be located at one location, our Office collects a fee for each item that is to be delivered and requires a deputy’s signature as proof of service.

We are responsible for serving Civil Process throughout Travis County and are able to serve Citations in the adjoining counties of Williamson, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Blanco and Bastrop. Most civil process received by this Office is executed within 24 hours. If you have a question about an address, feel free to call our front desk or email us and someone will help you determine who can better service your document or if we can serve the paper.

How to make it faster

Service of Process to the Texas Secretary of State

  1. Our Service Fee
  2. the Secretary of State requires a $55.00 fee (made payable to the “Secretary of State”) and,
  3. an additional copy of the process, notice or demand.
