Our office is closed on approved Travis County Holidays and on the weekend.
NOTE: Warrants will not be removed or cancelled until the correct payment is received in this office. The judge dictates how we may accept payments to clear warrants. If the payment is not accompanied by the properly signed documents or proof required, then the payment is not complete or incorrect and the judge will not give the warrant a final disposition, which means that all fines, fees and costs have been collected and no further action is required.
Paying a Warrant in Person
You may pay with the following:
- Cash-Exact Cash only, This office does not have the ability to break bills or make change.
- Money Order
- Bank Cashier's Check
- Credit Card: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa
Additional Required Documents:
- Plea Form signed by the defendant (person with warrants) or the defendant's attorney. And, the Plea Form must have the warrant numbers being paid.
- If the defendant is sending someone other than their attorney, then that person must have a signed plea form. Failure to send in a signed plea form will result in the payment not being accepted per the Judge's orders
- If you have a received a Failure to Maintain Proof of Financial Responsibility (a.k.a. No Insurance) warrant but had insurance to cover the vehicle being driven on the date and time of the violation, you can request a reduction in your amount due, click here to find out the procedure
- Although a plea form may be used to pay multiple warrants, a plea must be signed for every separate and distinct visit to our office.
Receipt- You will be given an official county receipt showing how much money was paid to our office.

NOTE: You will not be arrested if you attempt to resolve your warrant(s) in person.
Paying a Warrant by Telephone
You may pay with the following:
- Credit Card: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa
Additional Required Documents: (Each of the following documents will have to be in our office signed before a payment can be taken. You may fax or email a signed copy.)
- A Plea Form signed by the defendant (person with warrants) and the warrant numbers being paid, if paying with a credit card that is not in the defendant's name.
- A Credit Card Charge Authorization Form signed by the owner of the credit card.
Receipt- To receive a copy of your receipt you must do the following:
- In order to receive a hard-copy of your receipt (i.e. printed on paper), you must mail in a self-addressed and postage paid envelope. Or,
- you may give our department a telephone number where we may fax a copy of your receipt. Or,
- you may give our department an email address where we can e-mail a copy of your receipt
Paying a Warrant by Mail or other delivery service
You may pay with the following:
- Money Order
- Bank Cashier's Check
Requirement: If mailing in your payment make sure the following is on the payment or attach separate sheet of paper with the following information:
- Your name or the Name of the Person with the warrants
- Your Date of Birth or the Date of Birth of the Person with warrants
- Your Driver's License or Identification Card number or the Driver License or Identification card number of the person with warrants
Receipt- To receive a copy of your receipt you must do the following:

It is recommended that any payments you send to this office by United States Postal Service, Federal Express(FEDEX), United Parcel Service(UPS), DHL or any other third-party delivery service that you get a confirmation of receipt of the contents and to insure the contents of your package.
Paying a Warrant by Western Union
Western Union Offers three payment options:
- Online
- When Choosing Payment Type and Biller, Select "Other Billers" and "TRAVIS COUNTY PCT 2 CONSTABLE"
- Use your Use your Visa or MasterCard credit(Your Credit Card Issuer may charge an additional cash advance fee for this service) or debit card (U.S. bank-issued cards only)
- Send online payments of up to $300 or $2,500 (maximum limits may vary)
- Receive a confirmation email that your payment was received by Western Union
- Call our office to verify that Western Union has forwarded your payment to our office
- At any western Union Location
- Find a location
- Fill out the required form. Code City = "TRAVISPCT2". State = "TX". Your Account Number will be your State abbreviation and your driver's license number. If you do not have a driver’s license call our office to get your account number. Then, simply show the Agent clerk your identification card, if requested, and your Western Union® Gold Card, if you have one.

Requesting a Reduction and Dismissal of a Failure to Maintain Proof of Financial Responsibility (No Insurance) Warrant
It is recommended that this type of warrant be one of the first warrants you try to pay since it is the most time consuming for our office to process and for the defendant to present to our office.
- Get the Date and time you were cited for driving without proof of insurance.
- Submit to our office a copy of your proof of insurance coverage
- You must be covered to drive any vehicle unrestricted. Or,
- The vehicle must have been covered by insurance with no restrictions.
- The insurance coverage must be for the time and date when the violation/ticket was given.
- If you do not have your previous proof of insurance card but still have the same Insurance Company or policy number. Submit a copy of the current proof of Insurance Card.
- The proof of insurance must be submitted to our office before paying this specific warrant. You may fax or mail in the proof.
You may choose to the request the reduction and dismissal or not. Once you have paid and plead for the No Insurance warrant, you cannot ask our office to refund your money and process the warrant for reduction and dismissal at a future date.
NOTE: If you do not get your Failure to Maintain Proof of Financial Responsibility dismissed and pay the warrant, it will be reported to The Texas Department of Public Safety which will charge you a surcharge per current Texas Law. Click Here for more Details
How to Pay with a Credit Card
There is an additional fee for this service which is $3.00 or three(3) percent of the transaction whichever amount is the greater. You may pay by credit card in person or by telephone. If paying with a credit card by telephone and you are using a third party's credit card a plea form and a credit card charge authorization form must be submitted prior to paying with a third party credit card.
